ADHD Couples Therapy
ADHD does not exist in isolation. It affects every aspect of a couple's relational system. In couples therapy, focusing only on individual behavior often misses the larger patterns that maintain conflict and frustration. That's where systems-based work becomes essential. By looking at the relationship as a system, therapy shifts from "fixing one partner" to changing patterns in the interactions themselves, creating lasting relational change.
You might be here because one partner feels like they carry the entire mental load, while the ADHD partner feels constantly criticized or like they are failing. Or maybe you keep getting stuck in the same emotionally intense conflict loop. By fully integrating neurobiology and family systems, we can address core issues that continue to show up. When you begin to stabilize the leadership in a family, you can also stabilize the entire family system, which is especially important when you have a neurodivergent family with children that need more support. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and ADHD specialist, I know how to guide you on this path of treatment.
