Couples Therapy
Relationships take work. Added stress can affect the healthiest of relationships. The way we respond to conflict and how we repair impacts how we either stay strong and connected or end up turning away and feeling alone.
We carry pain. We don't always have the self-awareness or know how little wounds can create a response that isn't always about the other person standing right in front of us. It can be hard to be vulnerable and real when we are afraid of the other person's response or emotional intensity.
When we don't tend to our relationship effectively it can slowly weaken. We might give up on communication. We might find ways to cope that only creates more disconnection and resentment. We do not show up as our best self anymore.
